Privacy Policy for Sudoku Dimensions

1. Privacy at a Glance
Your data stays with you: This app stores your personal data (game progress,
statistics, settings) on your device. If you use iCloud, it is additionally synchronised with
your private iCloud area so that your progress stays the same across your devices. We have no
access to this data.
For optional features such as Game Center (leaderboards and achievements), an internet
connection is required. The free version displays advertising via Google AdMob.

3. Data Collection in the App
3.1 Data Stored on Your Device
The app processes the following data:
- Game progress and solved puzzles (times, mistakes, medals)
- Saved game states of ongoing games, including pencil marks you have entered
- Game statistics, achievements and daily streaks
- Daily puzzle and object of the week, including completion status
- Hint balance (free and purchased hints)
- App settings (e.g. timer display, mistake marking, motion, 3D quality, sound, haptics)
- Purchase status (ad-free, hint packages)
No user accounts are created, and no personal data such as name or email address is
collected. This data is not transmitted to us.
3.2 Synchronisation via iCloud
The app stores its data in a protected database (Core Data) on your device and synchronises
it via Apple CloudKit with your private iCloud area. This
keeps your progress the same across your devices, and it is not lost when you change device.
- Synchronisation runs through your Apple Account; we have no access to this data.
- It only takes place if you are signed in to iCloud on the device and iCloud Drive is
enabled for the app. Without iCloud, the app works exactly as before, purely locally.
- You can switch synchronisation off for this app at any time in the iOS settings under
Apple Account > iCloud.
- So that changes arrive promptly, the app receives silent system notifications from Apple.
These are not visible to you, produce no on-screen notifications and require no
permission.
Processing in iCloud is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
3.3 Game Center
The app optionally uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. When you use
this feature, the following data is transmitted to Apple:
- Leaderboards: Point score per dimension as well as an overall score
- Achievements: Milestones reached (e.g. the first solved puzzle, daily
streaks, number of solved puzzles)
Using Game Center requires signing in with your Apple Account and is entirely optional.
Processing is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
3.4 Feedback Feature
The app offers a feedback feature in the settings. When sending feedback, an email is created via your configured mail app. In addition to your text, it contains the following technical information:
- App version and build number
- Device model and iOS version
- Language setting
The email is sent to hello@stapppro.de. You have full control over the content before sending and can remove information or discard the email.
4. Stability Reports
The app uses MetricKit, an interface provided by Apple. The system
occasionally makes reports about crashes, hangs and write operations available to the app.
These reports stay on the device and are not transmitted to us; they contain
no content from your saved games. Independently of this, you can decide in the iOS settings
under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements whether Apple shares
diagnostic data with developers.
5. In-App Purchases
The app offers in-app purchases via Apple StoreKit:
- Ad-free version (one-time purchase)
- Hint packages (30, 100 or 300 hints, consumables)
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive any payment data or
personal information. The purchase status is stored on your device and verified
cryptographically through Apple's entitlement system.
6. Advertising and Tracking
6.1 Free Version
The free version of the app displays advertising via Google AdMob in the following formats:
- Banner ads: Displayed on the home screen, the puzzle overview and the pause screen
- Interstitial ads: Full-screen ads between completed puzzles
- Rewarded ads: Voluntary video ads to receive hints
The following data may be collected by Google:
- Advertising ID of the device
- IP address
- Device type and operating system
- Approximate location (based on IP)
6.2 Consent and App Tracking Transparency
Before personalized advertising is displayed, your consent is obtained in two ways:
- Google UMP SDK: Consent form in accordance with GDPR/ePrivacy
(particularly in the EEA). You can change your consent at any time in the app settings
via "Privacy options".
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT): iOS system permission for using the
advertising ID. You can revoke this at any time in the iOS settings under
Privacy & Security > Tracking.

6.3 Ad-Free Version
After purchasing the ad-free version, no advertising is displayed and no data collection by
advertising networks takes place.
6.4 No Analytics of Our Own
The app itself does not use any analytics or tracking tools (no Firebase Analytics, no
Amplitude, no Mixpanel, etc.). No usage statistics are collected or transmitted to us.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can view all your data in the app at any time (statistics,
progress, settings)
- Deletion: You can reset your game progress via the app settings
- Withdrawal of advertising consent: At any time via the app settings or
the iOS settings (Privacy & Security > Tracking)
- Stop synchronisation: The iCloud synchronisation for this app can be
switched off in the iOS settings under Apple Account > iCloud
- Complete deletion: Uninstalling the app deletes the local data. Data
stored in iCloud can be removed in the iOS settings under
Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage
8. Permissions
The app does not request permissions for camera, photos, location, contacts or on-screen
notifications. The only system-level prompt is the optional App Tracking Transparency prompt
for personalized advertising (see section 6.2). The silent system notifications used for
iCloud synchronisation (section 3.2) require no permission and do not appear on your screen.
